The Borno State Government has unveiled a reformed monitoring and analysis framework geared toward enhancing transparency, accountability, and effectiveness in growth tasks.
The Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Dr Mustapha Malumbe, introduced this at a consultative assembly in Maiduguri on Monday, stating that the reform will speed up the state’s 25-year growth plan and 10-year strategic actions.
“The revamped framework will facilitate seamless progress tracking, identify areas for improvement, and inform data-driven decision-making, ensuring better project delivery and sustainable development,” Malumbe defined.
He described the initiative as groundbreaking, noting that it’s going to revolutionise venture implementation and monitoring within the state, paving the way in which for sustainable growth.
Our correspondent reviews that the reform is a collaborative effort between the Borno State Agency for Sustainable Development and Humanitarian Responses, the Ministry of Budget and Planning, the Borno Department of Monitoring and Evaluation, and Borno State University, supported by UNICEF.
The Commissioner added, “With the new M&E framework in place, citizens can expect tangible improvements in project delivery and sustainable development.”
He additionally acknowledged that sources will likely be utilised effectively, and tasks could have an enduring impression on residents’ lives, noting that the way forward for Borno State seems brighter than ever.
On his half, Director of My IT Consult Limited, Mubaraq Yusuf, mentioned the programme’s aims embody conducting a readiness evaluation to strengthen Borno State’s M&E system.
He added that the consultative workshop aimed to current findings, collect stakeholder suggestions, and construct assist for implementation.
