Brad Pitt’s incredibly rare comments on dating after Angelina Jolie divorce

Brad Pitt finally shed light on the ongoing rumours surrounding his love life.

The 60-year-old Hollywood actor had previously opened up about how many women he has dated since splitting from ex-wife Angelina Jolie, in 2016. Brad and Ines de Ramon recently cemented their relationship in style on the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival. Brad, 60, and jewellery designer Ines, 34, stepped out hand-in-hand together at the glamorous festival in Italy on Sunday. The pair were joined by the actor’s close pal George Clooney, 63, and his wife Amal, 46.

Brad and Ines, who are thought to have now been dating for around two years, were seen holding hands after arriving at the venue on Sunday. The couple beamed as they walked side-by-side on the red carpet on the weekend. His romance with Ines – who was previously married to the Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley – is thought to be his first “proper” relationship since his split from his ex Jolie.

Last year, it was reported that Brad had been dating Ines for a year and a source told People that she “makes him very happy”. Months prior, a source had told the outlet that they had been “spending a lot of time together” over the summer and “truly” enjoy each other’s company. It was added at the time that they were “very into each”.

It’s not often the A-list actor speaks so candidly about rumours surrounding his love life, previously telling the New York Times Magazine about ‘how many women’ he has been linked with in the past couple of years. The actor, who starred in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood, was asked if he ever read anything about himself.

It turned out that he did in fact read stories about him, though only when he is presented with the article, especially the ones that discuss who he is romantically linked with. Brad was previously linked to Arrested Development star Alia Shawkat but that was dismissed as nothing more than platonic and a friendship.

Brad was equally dismissive of other rumours about his dating, previously saying: “I don’t go out of my way to avoid it; I just don’t seek it out. I don’t know how many women they’ve said I’ve been dating the last two or three years, and none of it’s true – I just flashed on something, but maybe it doesn’t mean anything.”

Brad also went on to reveal that he had an early wake-up call to any potential fame after he first started hitting the big time. The actor said there was a moment at the beginning of his career that has helped keep him humble for much of his Hollywood career. Brad shared: “When I first started my career, I was in USA Today. I was pretty pleased with myself. Two days after it came out, I go over to a friend-of-a-friend’s house.

“In the kitchen, I look down and there’s a litter box for the cat – and there’s my piece in USA Today with a cat turd on top of it. That pretty much defines it.” Brad has had two very high-profile marriages, with Angelina Jolie following on from his time with Friends star Jennifer Aniston.

With Aniston, they were the toast of Hollywood and seen as a golden couple in the industry with both of them working at the top of their game. It changed a little for Brad after he dumped Jen for Angelina in 2004, after meeting her on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith.

After an initial adverse reaction, Brad and Ange soon became Hollywood’s hottest couple and went on to share six children together. They had three adopted children Maddox, 18, Pax, 16, and Zahara, 14, along with their three biological children, Shiloh, 13, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 11.

The couple split in 2016 when Angelina filed for divorce and have been involved in an intense custody battle since. Brad’s romance with Ines – who was previously married to the Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley – is thought to be his first “proper” relationship since his split from his ex Angelina Jolie.
