Kaduna nurses droop warning strike

The National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives, Kaduna State chapter, has suspended its warning strike.

The affiliation disclosed this in assertion made obtainable to PUNCH Online by its Chairman, Ishaku Yahaya, on Monday.

The union mentioned it determined to droop the strike following a degree of seriousness and dedication made by the federal government by the workplace of the Secretary to the State Government, Head of Service and the Commissioner for Health which resulted within the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding.

“We resolved to suspend the five-day warning strike to give room for more negotiations and await the government to fulfill its side of the MoU,” the assertion added.

Yahaya mentioned the strike, which began on July 8, 2024 to press dwelling their calls for for an improved welfare package deal, recorded an enormous success and 100 per cent compliance.
