The Kano State Police Command has confirmed the dying of a widow and 5 of her youngsters in Karkari village, Gwarzo Local Government Area of the state after consuming Danwake, an area Hausa delicacy.
Confirming the incident, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Abdullahi Haruna, stated the six family members who ate the meals have been rushed to Gwarzo General Hospital the place they have been confirmed useless by medical doctors.
He stated an investigation had commenced to determine the reason for their dying.
“We are still waiting for the medical report from the hospital to ascertain the cause of the death of the six persons,” he stated.
