NEMA receives 103 Nigerians deported from Turkey

A complete of 103 Nigerians deported from the Republic of Turkiye again to Nigeria have been obtained by the National Emergency Management Agency and different stakeholders.

The deportees who arrived on the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Friday at 7pm by means of the pilgrims wing of the airport have been obtained by the Federal Government officers led by NEMA.

A Southwind Airlines flight, TCGRB, conveyed the deportees from Turkiye to Nigeria.

Addressing the returnees, the Director General of NEMA, Mrs. Zubaida Umar, admonished them to just accept their expertise in good religion and be law-abiding.

The DG NEMA, who was represented by the Director, North Central Zone, Alhaji Bashir Garga, mentioned the returnees have been obtained with dignity to assuage their expertise and warranted the considerations of the Federal Government over their plights.

Umar introduced {that a} token of monetary assist had been supplied to help of their transportation to their varied areas.

After being screened by officers of the Port Health Authority, profiling was executed by NEMA and NCFRMI; they have been cleared by NIS and given transportation to assist their motion to their varied locations.

Other stakeholders that joined to obtain the deportees have been officers of the Nigerian Immigration Service, the National Commission for Refugees, Migrant and Internally Displaced Persons, and the National Agency for Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons.

Others are the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria, the Nigeria Police Force, the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency.

Others have been officers of the Port Health Authority and the National Intelligence Agency.
