Northerners should problem bandits to curb banditry – Sultan

The Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Abubakar III, has suggested Northerners to problem bandits and insurgents to beat the menacing safety problem within the North.

Speaking on the North-West Peace and Security Summit in Katsina State on Monday, Abubakar stated the implications of banditry and insurgency on Northern residents are devastating.

The President General of the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs added that it might take many years for the North-West area to return out of the safety problem.

He stated, “What we must do is to challenge these bandits because we all know the consequences of banditry and insurgency on our lives. But it will take decades to get out of it if all we get out of it. We all know the consequences and the problems.”

The monarch said that the standard rulers are able to associate with safety businesses and the North West governors to avoid wasting the area from banditry and insurgency.

He expressed his perception that proposals to convey banditry and insurgency to the barest minimal for folks to go about their lives and companies can be arrived at on the finish of the summit.
