Paris Hilton left bloodied on set of new video as medics rush to help

Paris Hilton was left with a bloody knee after taking a tumble on the set of her new music video.

The 43-year-old reality star, businesswoman, singer and DJ extraordinary is plotting to reclaim the charts this week with the release of her long-awaiting second album. She is due to release her new record, titled Infinite Icon, on Friday – and it will come a whole 18 years since the release of her self titled debut.

And it seems the star is willing to give whatever it takes to ensure her new music and accompanying visuals are released on schedule, as footage has emerged of the star suffering injury at the hands of silver sequin. But the star put on a brave face and vowed to power through the pain as she had to complete her music video filming session.

Footage has emerged of the Simple Life star sporting a glitzy silver skirt and top while sitting on the floor of a video set. With silver streamers dangling all around her, the star looked reasonably calm while a small army of people fussed around her.

Paris admitted she had no idea how a sequin became embedded in her skin

Video shared by TMZ showed Paris sitting on the floor of her set while blood leaked out from a small injury on her knee. A concerned voice can be hear asking off-camera: “Is there, like, glass in it? Oh, it’s your sequin. It’s a sequin inside of the skin.”

Another voice can then be heard attempting to problem solve the scenario, suggesting the camera angle will not reveal the injury. They are heard saying: “Well, in this shot, we’re very close. If we want to just bandage it for right now and then we can really address it for make up and everything. “

Paris herself then states: “I can like put the knee, like, hide it.” And the previous voice is heard commenting: “Yeah, because we won’t see your knee in this shot. So we’ll just make you comfortable and safe. We’ll get this last show because you’re such a trooper, and then we’re good here.”

Putting on a brave face, Paris then comments: “Yes. And then it will, like, heal while we get ready for the next shot.” While the over voice says: “Yeah. We’ll have a change over right after this.”

The clip ends with Paris declaring: “I’ve put blood, sweat, fire and tears into this video. I don’t know how the hell that happened. Slaying too hard. Killing it with all my leg shots today. The show must go on!”

Paris’s new album features a string of collaborations with major music stars, with British-Japanese singer Rina Sawayama, pop star Meghan Trainor, Argentinian singer Maria Becerra, and Australian icon Sia all contributing to the record. During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in October last year, Paris revealed she intends to tour to support the album following the release.
