BARCELONA : New Zealand took a 6-2 lead of their America’s Cup defence on Friday, twice beating the British challengers to maneuver inside a degree of retaining the “Auld Mug” within the first-to-seven sequence.

In each races the New Zealand crew skippered by Peter Burling outpaced Britain’s Ben Ainslie. The British workforce’s coach mentioned they could have sustained some rudder injury in the course of the second race, making it more durable to deal with the foiling AC75 boat.
