Sokoto monarch’s kidnap, killing barbaric – Speaker Abbas

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, has expressed disappointment over the dying of the District Head of Gatawa in Sokoto State, Isa  Bawa, within the kidnappers’ den.

The bandits had kidnapped the late District Head of Gatawa and his son on July 29. The late Bawa was reported to have died in captivity.

Abbas in an announcement by his media aide, Musa Krishi on Thursday decried that the kidnap and therapy of the late emir have been inhuman.

He mentioned, “In the first place, the bandits’ kidnap of the traditional ruler was barbaric, their treatment of the late Sarkin Gobir as inhuman.”
