Stacey Solomon has sparked debate among her fans by setting up her Halloween decorations a whole eight weeks before the spooky annual event.
The 34-year-old reality star is the proud wife of former EastEnders actor husband Joe Swash, 42 – but it appeared he was frustrated about her lust for all things spooky. Taking to social media this week, the star shared a video of herself and Joe in the midst of an argument.
She explained that she is a huge fan of Halloween and was desperate to display her decorations even though October 31st was two months away. In the footage, Joe can be heard complaining: “It’s months before Halloween. I’m not walking around in a ghost house. It’s Halloween or me.”
And it appears Stacey chose her decor over her other half as she then shared footage of herself delighting among her festive props and colour schemes. Sharing a bed with a golden skeleton, the former X Factor contestant revealed she was happy to get into the spooky spirit.

She wrote in the caption of her Instagram post: “Me and my husband every September 1st…We all knew who I’d chose. Happy September everyone. My favourite time of the year is coming. Sorry, not sorry @joeswash love uuuu just not as much as pumpkins… because I can’t even describe how lucky I feel to be able to create my autumn homeware dreams so they will be plastered all over the house ALWAYS.”
The Loose Women star hinted that the entire set-up and argument were staged, however, as she added the letters “AD” to her post and tagged “@georgehome” suggesting she was being paid to share the content online. Despite the obvious paid-for content, fans fell into a debate over the appropriate time to erect Halloween decorations.
One concerned fan complained in the comments writing: “Gosh the summer hasn’t even finished yet and we’re wishing our lives away with Halloween. pretty but too early.” Another typed: “As lovely as the range looks Stace and as much as I love you…please, no. It’s September. Halloween is in October. Let’s stop making 1 day holidays 2 months long.” And another, who clearly hates Halloween, raged: “It’s a stupid nothing day im afraid- stop wishing your life away, its still summer!”

But many others were enchanted by Stacey’s decorations, with one writing: “Everything looks amazing Stacey!!” And another fan virtually cackled: “Bloody luv u Stacey u crack me up every time I knew what u was gonna choose before I even watched till the end.”
Stacey and Joe have been married since 2922 and they share six children between them. Stacey shares a 15-year-old son named Zachary with ex-boyfriend Dean Cox and an 11-year-old son named Leighton who she shares with ex-fiancé Aaron Barnham. Together with Joe, she is also the mother of four-year-old son Rex, two-year-old daughter Rose, and youngest daughter Belle, who was born in February 2023. Joe also has a 16-year-old son of his own, named Harry, from a previous relationship with ex-fiancée Emma Sophocleous.
