UK donates coaching facility to Nigerian Army

The United Kingdom has donated a counter-insurgency coaching facility to the Nigerian Armed Forces in a lift to Nigeria’s navy capabilities.

The facility, positioned in Ogun State, was formally handed over on Tuesday in a ceremony attended by prime navy officers from each nations as contained in an announcement from the British High Commission in Nigeria.

The UK Ministry of Defence funded the development of the power, which was constructed by a crew of Royal Engineers from the British Army in collaboration with Nigerian Army Engineers.

The new coaching centre is designed to boost the realism of navy workout routines, guaranteeing that Nigerian troopers are higher ready for the challenges of contemporary warfare and future deployments.

Speaking on the ceremony, the Deputy High Commissioner, Jonny Baxter, identified the deep and long-standing safety relationship between the UK and Nigeria.
