UNDP seeks safety for civilians throughout battle

The United Nations Development Programme has urged safety companies to prioritise the safety of civilians and humanitarian staff throughout armed conflicts.

The organisation stated doing so would assist minimise casualties.

The Team Lead, Governance, Peace, and Security Unit, UNDP, Nigeria, Matthew Alao, said this on Tuesday in Abuja on the inauguration of the Comprehensive Protection of Civilians Course 36/2024.

Alao, represented by  Richard Olugula, famous that civilians usually endure essentially the most in battle zones worldwide.
